How we prepare our guides

Clear information for decisions at home. These are the standards we use to publish our guides and explain calculations.

Who publishes

HogarStaff publishes these guides as part of its household staff management service. The HogarStaff byline identifies the brand maintaining the content; it does not represent a public institution. This website’s guides and calculators are free to use without registration.

Sources you can check

For employment rules, we link to the official texts supporting the explanation: the Labour Code, Ministry of Labour resolutions and Constitutional Court decisions. Source links appear at the end of each guide. For calendars and announcements, we identify the institution and the date of the information.

Meaningful dates

The publication date records when a guide first appeared. The update date reflects a review of its content. A new design or website release does not make an older explanation newly reviewed. A proposed law is described as a proposal until its approval and effective status are confirmed.

Calculations in context

Each calculator explains its inputs, formula and applicable employment regime. We distinguish general employment rules from domestic work. Dominican calculator amounts use Dominican pesos (RD$); subscription prices are separately identified in US dollars (USD). Scenarios and estimates are labelled accordingly.

Spanish, English and French

The English and French versions make the same topics accessible to more readers. The country and employment regime remain those specified in each guide. Linked official documents retain their original language and wording.
